Cultural Policy Reference Group (UK)

The London Cultural Policy Reference Group was established in 2009 to provide the Greater London Authority (GLA) and other strategic agencies with guidance on research and policy for London’s cultural sector. Chaired by Professor Sara Selwood, it provides a forum whereby leading cultural policy figures can discuss and analyse issues and research findings, in order to ensure that policy and interventions are as well informed as possible. The Mayor of London is committed to ensuring that cultural policy utilises the latest ideas, evidence and research, and also that the GLA makes a positive contribution to ongoing debates and policy discussions about supporting culture. Lia Ghilardi has been a member of this advisory group since its inception. The findings from the Reference Group, which meets quarterly, are available online at:
