Cultural Masterplan for the Waterfront, Jönköping (Sweden)

Jönköpings Kommun asked us to carry out consultancy and advice work in assessing the cultural ecology and assets of the city, and to contribute with strategic recommendations to a document called City’s Life and Content in Jönköping Urban Development Vision 2.0. The project was developed and managed on the ground by Kristin Nilsdotter Isaksson (Projektledare Stadens liv och innehåll) over a period of six months between April and September 2009, and it involved a combination of workshop facilitation, presentations and analysis of information and mapping material. The concluding report featured 10 recommendations with actions including the creation of work-live spaces for creatives, reusing heritage buildings for cultural activity, and the development of an incubator attached to the local university.
