Creative Brno Mentoring

In Autumn  2015 Lia Ghilardi was asked to join the Creative Industries Manager in the department of City Strategy Development in Brno to mentor their creative economy team on the qualitative ways of effectively mapping the city. Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic with a large population of students and creatives living and working there.

Creative Brno is the working title for a long-term, city-wide strategy aimed at supporting, incubating, funding and networking local creative enterprises and individuals. The aim of the project is to empower the creative potential of talented people and limit their exodus to the capital. As well as training local stakeholders on techniques of qualitative cultural mapping, Lia’s work – which will continue throughout 2016 – will be to set up a city-wide implementation mechanism with a broader development remit.
